Stories to Make You Smile
For over six years, we’ve been collecting customer stories in our Ink of the Week contest. Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve heard from some awesome customers about how they brought their families and communities together on Thanksgiving. To show you some of the communities we’ve touched, we’ve compiled a handful of stories that caught our eye this past month.
Inaugural Pine Hill Turkey Trot
This family decided to do their own version of a turkey trot this year, and although they didn’t sign up for an actual race, it was “made to feel even more real with official t-shirts from CustomInk.” Everyone played a role in the race, including Grammy as the timer and finish line judge. Even the granddog participated in the race! When the trot concluded, it was time for pie and stuffing for all.
Three years ago, these friends embarked on a journey to create the ultimate Thanksgiving bar crawl. In three years, the number of participants has grown from just a handful to over 30 attendees (see all three photos above). Using the Group Order Form, this repeat customer organized the “Gobble til you Wobble” t-shirt order for this year’s third annual event. Their goal is to have upwards of 75 people come out for next year’s crawl!
These family friends have a wonderful tradition of enjoying each Thanksgiving away from the city crowds in the beautiful West Texas Big Bend region. This year’s trip had a record group of 24 folks in attendance so the group decided to get Big Bend Thanksgiving 2015 (BBTG15) t-shirts to mark the occasion. The shirts “helped the big group bond and they were a real highlight of the trip!”
Instead of traveling for Thanksgiving, this family and their family friend stayed local and explored the many things that Chicago has to offer, like a scavenger hunt (in custom shirts, of course) at the Museum of Science and a play downtown afterward. The customer combined everyone’s last names – O’Hara, Wright, and McKeever – into a custom t-shirt design and surprised the entire group on the day of the festivities!
