Can I Pay With a Purchase Order?
Before I worked at CustomInk, I had no idea what a Purchase Order actually was. I thought it was like pointing at something you wanted to buy and saying “I demand to buy that!” Fortunately, I know better now. If you are part of a school or a large organization, POs can make ordering a whole lot easier.
A Purchase Order (or PO to its friends) is a contract agreed on by a buyer (you) and a seller (CustomInk) outlining the “what” and “how much” of an order. The PO holds the place of actual payment until after the goods (like t-shirts or koozies) are delivered, and then a bill is sent over.
POs are a great option for customers who work in large organizations because they allow for work to begin on the order while avoiding delays caused by the red tape of a billing office. At CustomInk, we accept POs from customers at schools or when in association with the government.

Hi Melissa! I’m sorry about the delay in replying. Due to the quick nature of our turnaround time, and the amount of money at stake, we do only allow schools and government organizations to used PO’s because of their greater reliability and ties to larger institutions.
However, we can definitely still take credit, debit, or even electronic checks (for US customers) from any of our customers.

Hi so I was planning on purchasing shirts for my high school’s fall play and i was wondering how the PO process would work?
Theresa, thanks for visiting! It’s fairly simple. Just place your order once you’ve got your design and sizes finalized, then at the checkout screen choose the PO option. Once you do that, you’ll receive instructions to fax CustomInk a copy of the purchase order for verification before we begin processing your order. Hello, I’m a club president and I would like to buy shirts for the members. We usually have to deposit our money to the school and then request a disbursement for things we need to buy, in this case, the shirts. Can the school write a check to Customink? or is the process different and we would need to get a PO?

Thanks for visiting! We are happy to take checks as a form of payment, as long as your school will write one on your club’s behalf.
What I’d recommend doing is once your design is ready and you’ve collected your sizes, give us a call at 800-293-4232 and one of our friendly t-shirt ambassadors should be able to get you all set up with a pending order. Then you can provide that pending order number to your school office and they can choose the payment method they’d like to use (whether that is a physical check, PO, or other form of payment).

I was wondering if it is possible to sell our custom designed shirts on your website. I’m trying to make club shirts that can be purchased by anyone in my state. Because most of those people will be other clubs from other schools, they will need to use a purchase order. So is it possible to have an option to have other people purchase the design on your website?
