So, I was looking through the orders today for Christian groups, hoping to get some ideas for new design templates. I came across several shirts that would benefit from a few quick changes to make the design look more unique. Often people used a line of text and a clipart, but would benefit from a quick lesson in thoughtful placement. You can make your design look more designer-y in under 2 minutes with just a few simple changes. Above is a before and after of one Christian design and below is a video of how I made the changes. Simply re-arranging the text makes the clipart feel more connected to the words. Plus now he really looks like he is reaching for the “light.” Read more –>
This month’s Artist Spotlight is on Breanna, one of our Production Artists. She has displayed some of her photo collages, which a fellow Inker described as “phosphorescent,” and I would have to agree. The colors are luminous and the tropical subjects are a great contrast to the changing seasons.

She took several photos of the wrap in segments, and then pieced them back together in Photoshop to create the collage effect. She then layered images of fabric as overlays in combination with different Photoshop techniques to get a painterly look to her images. Read more –>
Recently I spent a week updating our Senior Class shirts to 2011, and of course making some new designs. I took a peek at some of the recent designs by our customers to spot any new trends. That’s what I decided was missing from our templates, kingly designs befitting those looking to assert their supremacy on the lower serfdom. And for those of you still working your way up… I have a few designs to help you band together against the monarchy! Read more –>
I spent this last week working on new design templates for College Groups and Clubs. As you can imagine, there are a lot of groups out there! Volunteers, Student Advisors, Law Students, Pre-Meds, Model UN, Exercise Clubs, Drama Societies, Dance Teams, Campus Journals, Music Groups, Singing Groups and, of course, Tailgating Fans. I tried to make some general designs that could be adjusted for any group… but I had to add one for my own people… the artists spending all night in the studio! Read more –>
I was checking out the recent Greek shirts that have come in and, as always, it seems that putting the letters extra large, front and center, is what Greek life is all about.
No? Well of course it is. You want people to know what organization you are loyal to! But just adding an outline to one of our Greek letter fonts is not enough. Trust me. Try layering your letters over your crest or mascot, maybe adding your letters to one of our design templates, or simply layering your full name over the letters. Read more –>
