It’s no secret that a picture is worth a thousand words. If you want yours to stand out and not to mention, make your Instagram followers double-tap and your friends and family members super impressed – follow these photography do’s and don’ts. And don’t forget to tag us with #customink so we can check out your great photos and gear!

    1. Back to backgrounds – Don’t settle for any ol’ backdrop. Show off a scenic view, a muddy trail of a race you completed, or any other fun location you visited. We love seeing Custom Ink designs out in the real world, and we want to see how you brought yours to life. Show us your custom t-shirts (or hoodies, or water bottles, or hats) in action in the cool location that made it shine.
    2. Line it up – Use the rule of thirds. Just imagine a tic-tac-toe board over your screen and line everything up with the lines and intersections.

  1. Lights, iPhone camera, action! – When taking photos outside, position your subjects with sunlight hitting from both sides and have them strike a pose that shows some action. These days, it’s easy to take high-quality pictures anywhere using the camera on your phone or tablet.
  2. Fill it with flair – Don’t leave empty space around your design, fill it with something exciting. Grab more group members and show those smiles or pose in front of something unique.
