Baby Knuck and the Pig Rescue

When Amanda Quick’s friends first met Knuckles, her American Bulldog rescue and therapy animal, they insisted that she had to start an Instagram account for him. The Austin, Texas resident didn’t even have an account of her own, but her friends were so sure that his big personality would shine through that she followed their advice. She wouldn’t have predicted how well the account would do or that she, a newcomer to social media in general, would have a talent for sharing fun content that brightens people’s days. “I have a natural knack for social media marketing and have loved being able to share my pets with so many people while raising awareness for things I am passionate about like positive reinforcement training and rescue.”

She named the account Baby Knuck and also features her senior pitbull, Della, and Carlton the pig, both rescues. She features the work she does with animal training and events, adorable everyday moments with her and her pets, and the squad’s adventures with fostering other animals including kittens they took in this spring.

We have been wanting to foster during our shelter in place and it just seemed that we couldn’t find the right fit and today we figured out why! Today we got a call from @friendsofaac saying there was a litter of newborn kittens that had been abandoned in a box. Bottle babies are no small undertaking and they’re not for just any foster. We truly believe that we didn’t find a perfect fit before now because these kittens would need Woman’s vet tech experience. . The kittens are at a very critical phase right now, so stay tuned for updates! We will announce genders and names as the babies start to thrive. . This is kitten season and this is undoubtedly the first of many litters that will need care over the next few months. Please consider donating to @friendsofaac . The link is in our bio!

Now Amanda’s partnered with Custom Ink Fundraising to have a custom t-shirt fundraiser raise money and awareness for a cause that’s near to her heart: the pig rescue where she got Carlton.

“I have been involved in rescue my whole life. I have three rescue pets now and am always looking for new ways to raise funds for pets in need.” She goes on, ”I found out about Custom Ink through Instagram and had such an amazing experience partnering with them to design our Be Kind T-Shirt Campaign benefiting Central Texas Pig Rescue.”

She worked with the Custom Ink design team to create the perfect t-shirt design for her fundraiser. The design creation process was simple for her. “I sent over some designs that I liked along with photos of my pets and the amazing design team at Custom Ink did the rest!” The result is a shirt featuring Knuckles, Della, and Carlton along with the message “Be Kind.”

Amanda says she had a great experience working with the Custom Ink team. “Everyone at Central Texas Pig Rescue thanks you guys for helping raise money for their expansion project and I want to thank you all for making my dream of having my pets on a t-shirt come true!”

You can see and support Baby Knuck’s t-shirt fundraiser through September 30.
