  2. When you come into a Custom Ink store, we’re there to help you from beginning to end. Our customers want to create a custom piece that really wows, and perfecting the design is the first step. Our reps often hear from customers “I could have done this online, but I wouldn’t have.” The in-person experience is the push some people need to get a design from idea to printed tee. No matter the size of the order, from one to 1,000 tees, customers can get the confidence they need doing it alongside an expert.

  3. You can become an artist
  4. In the store, it’s not just finding a graphic to put on a shirt, it’s a collaboration with our experts and a full-on artistic experience where you create something based on design and the fabric or product. A lot of times our customers think our experts are artists, but really they just have the tools necessary to take ideas beyond the Design Lab. The best part of working together is you can bring your vision to life and change it so easily. Need to move something just a smidge? You can do it right there with them. Want something our clipart doesn’t offer? For bulk orders of six or more, our art team can move and adjust clipart for you to bring your big idea to life. If you can envision it, we can make it happen.

  5. See, feel, compare, and try on products
  6. With so many t-shirts to choose from (we know, it’s a lot!) how do you pick the right one? It’s hard to really explain the difference two dollars per shirt can make for comfort, but when you come into the store and feel it yourself, it makes it so much easier to make a decision. And if you aren’t sure what you need, trying on shirts in our store helps our reps better identify needs you didn’t even know you had! A customer recently visited a store searching for the perfect hoodie for her group. She ordered samples but didn’t find one she really loved. By coming into the store, our team was able to help her try other products while she FaceTimed with her team to get their opinion. They ended up loving a super trendy hoodie she hadn’t considered and even chatted about where the logo should go in real time with our experts’ help.

  7. Make payment a breeze
  8. There are different ways you can set up and pay for your order, and they can help you figure out the best method for you in-store. Whether you’re ordering directly, setting up a group order, or even doing a fundraising campaign, we can steer you in the right direction.

  9. Ink changes are even easier
  10. Reps can make changes to your design, ink, products, and more in no time at all. Whether you want a specialty ink or want to make color swaps–like going from a grey hoodie with a green logo to a grey logo with a green hoodie–it’s super simple with the reps there to guide you along.

    Q&A with our store rep, Stephen Pak

    Q: What’s the best part about running the store?

    A: Being able to see customer relationships develop over time with different reps. It’s awesome to see customers come back to the store just to say thanks (while wearing what they ordered).

    Q: Do people care more about fit or feel of a t-shirt?

    A: Definitely the feel of the shirt. When people find a shirt they love the feel of, they’ll find a way to make the fit work.

    Q: If you had to wear one thing for the rest of your life what would it be?

    A: The Canvas Tri-Blend T-shirt, all day every day!

    Q: How long does a typical customer visit the store?

    A: It varies, but it’s usually in the 10-20 minute range.

    Q: Is there a “hot item” in the store that everyone runs to but didn’t come in to see?

    A: The Canvas Tri-Blend and the Next Level 60/40 t-shirts. Mostly because those are my two favorites, but everyone falls in love with those shirts once they feel them.

    Q: What’s the funniest (or coolest) thing a customer’s ever put on a t-shirt?

    A: There are so many to pick from! One time a customer put a messy-haired picture of a bride-to-be on shirts for their whole group to wear while on a bachelorette trip. The shirt was a surprise, it was a photo shirt, and everyone got the same one to wear (even the bride).
