You’re a quarter of a century old, it’s time to celebrate! Check out our list of some fabulous birthday party ideas for every personality and budget. Now, get to planning!

Beers & Cheers

Location: A local brewery, beer garden, or backyard makes for the perfect spot.
Décor: Pub-style tables with black linens topped with craft beer cartons as center pieces. Hang up a few posters advertising your favorite brands of beer and scatter peanuts on the table to give the space a true pub feel. Don’t forget the “hoppy birthday” banner!
Food: Chicken wings, mini sliders, loaded potato skins, pretzels, and peanuts pair perfectly with the brews.
Activities: Beer tasting, of course! Darts and card games also make for a good time.

Posh Picnic

Location: Backyard or nearby park.
Décor: Toss some pretty quilted blankets on the lawn. Set a flower arrangement in the center of each to give it a more glamorous feel and keep the blanket in place – use a pitcher or watering can as the vase. Paper lanterns look stunning hanging from tree branches.
Food: Fresh baked bread filled with chicken salad, served with veggie dip cups, and dainty cupcakes make for a tasty and elegant spread.
Activities: Besides sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the fresh air, set up a few simple games for guests to play. If you’re feeling crafty, create your own ring toss by decorating old milk jugs. You can also design your own tic-tac-toe game with a tree stump, a few stones or rocks, and a little paint!

DIY Craft Night

Location: Your home.
Décor: You don’t need much! Set up the craft supplies in appealing organized stations. Add a few balloons, along with a cute DIY “welcome” sign to make it festive.
Food: Just order pizza and sip on your favorite drinks – easy, inexpensive, and delicious!
Activities: Hit up your local craft store for some inspiration. Make sure you pick crafts that won’t frustrate guests. Painting , jewlery making, and decoupage are some good options that allow guests to get creative, but don’t require them to be a full-on artist.

Bowling Bash

Location: Your local bowling alley.
Décor: A few red and black balloons, and a birthday banner, along with your own bowling pin that can double as a guestbook, and your set.
Food: Nachos, pizza, and buckets of beer!
Activities: Make the traditional bowling a little more exiting with silly games. See which one of your guests has the best walk up dance or knocks down the most pins on one foot or blindfolded.

Fun Fiesta

Location: Your home or a friend’s backyard.
Décor: Vibrant colors and fun paper pom poms on a string of white lights will set the mood. Add a sombrero to the back of a few seats, blow up an inflatable cactus, and turn up the mariachi music!
Food: A make your own taco bar is a great way to feed a crowd. Chips, salsa, and fresh guacamole always go over well. For dessert, serve up an authentic tres leche birthday cake topped with festive fruit.
Activities: A fun piñata challenge, a game of how low can you go limbo, and musical sombreros will keep guests entrained and laughing all night long.

Parisian Affair

Location: Your home, or rent a chic space for the ultimate soirée.
Décor: A pastel color palette mixed with black will give your party that true Parisian flair. Ruffled table clothes, an Eiffel Tour center piece, and vintage tea cups at each place setting will have everyone saying oh-la-la!
Food: Instead of serving a meal, allow guests to indulge in all of the decadent desserts Paris has to offer. An afternoon filled with chocolate eclairs, mini crème brûlées, assorted fruit tarts, and macaroons are the perfect birthday treats.
Activities: Simply enjoy the beautiful setting, chat with your besties, and cheers to a wonderful year to come.

Grill & Chill

Location: Backyard, local park, or cool outdoor venue.
Décor: You don’t need much – just let nature do the talking! A few picnic-style table clothes will make the tables pop outdoors. Small potted plants make for the perfect center pieces. If the party is at night, you can’t go wrong with floating votive candles in mason jars on the tables, along with a few strings of lights along the fence or in the trees.
Food: Hamburgers, grilled chicken, potato salad, and watermelon are the classics. Make a special lemonade cocktail for guests to sip on. Try putting it in a large beverage dispenser with some floating fruit for an extra special touch.
Activities: Bocce ball, bag toss, and ultimate Frisbee will keep everyone active! You can even spray paint a twister board on the lawn for the ultimate outdoor game.

Roadtrip

Location: The options are endless! It’s best to keep the final destination within 3 hours of the starting point. That way, your company doesn’t get antsy.
Décor: You won’t need a thing. Since you are finally old enough to rent a car, maybe get one for your birthday trip so you have a fresh view and save the miles on your own car.
Food: Do some research on great local spots you’ll hit along the way. Don’t forget to order a delicious piece of birthday cake for your special day.
Activities: Make a point to stop anywhere that catches your eye. Whether it be a scenic spot, cool shop, or old-fashion diner – you’re sure to find some hidden gems!

Spa Day

Location: Your home or favorite spa.
Décor: A vase of your favorite flowers along with a couple of pretty birthday balloons is sure to set the scene.
Food: Finger sandwiches, fresh fruit, and refreshing cucumber water.
Activities: If you can afford a day at the spa, your favorite treatments will make the day delightful. If you’re on a budget, you can still have an amazing spa day with your friends at home. Make your own facemasks, splurge on your favorite body scrub, and indulge in some new nail polishes for a fresh do-it-yourself mani and pedi.

Bubbly & Birthday Cake

Location: Your home, a favorite restaurant, or any special location.
Décor: Gold balloons and plenty of glitter will set the stage. A cute “Sip, Sip, Hooray” poster or banner will add to it. Remember to get some festive straws and fun glass markers or charms!
Food: Plenty of champagne, and loads of your favorite birthday cake, cupcakes, or cake pops.
Activities: Invite guests to paint and decorate their own champagne flute.
