For over six years, we’ve been collecting customer stories in our Ink of the Week contest. Throughout the years, we’ve heard from some truly amazing customers about how their CustomInk orders helped to unite their community and take their event to the next level. To show you some of the communities we’ve touched, we’ve compiled a handful of stories that caught our eye.
These groomsmen took a whole new approach to the superhero-shirt-under-the-tuxedo look by having a CustomInk artist redraw a photo of the groom’s dad, who is the true superhero, breaking it down on the dance floor. “Later in the night [they] rocked the shirts by themselves in all of their glory during a late night dancing.”
After mixing and matching styles and colors, these three cancer survivors completed the Savannah Century 100 mile bicycle ride, sporting their custom tees and raising funds for Be the Match – an organization that supports the world’s largest marrow registry – along the way!
After this customer’s sister-in-law was diagnosed with MS two years ago, she immediately was inspired to launch Kick Out Ms – a fundraising kickball tournament in Swansea, Massachusetts. The group turned to CustomInk to enhance a handmade logo for their “Legends of the Ball” team, which features different parts of each team member’s personality.
Canned potatoes and sandy sleeping bags and hand sanitizer, oh my! For eight consecutive years, this group of guys have gathered together over the summer for a men’s beach camping trip. During a game of ultimate frisbee on the beach, “a ridiculously awesome chest-bump occurred; which resulted in the accidental invention of the sweaty t-shirt transfer!”
These 4th and 5th graders, known as Pier 45 when combined, were eager to show off their new custom shirts. Not wasting a second, the kids gathered together on the day the shirts arrived to pose for this picture on the school steps. As the official shirts for school field trips, these kids are sure to have fun times ahead in their tees!
The Spotlight Unlimited Dance Studio welcomes kids of all ages and abilities, and does their best to offer the greatest experiences at very low costs to all members. Recently, they took advantage of the CustomInk sponsorship through Pear to get beautiful t-shirts and tank tops for the dancers. After the apparel arrived, members participated in a photo shoot for some fun team bonding!
Green, the color of just about everything that we love. The grass, Kermit the Frog, the environment, shamrocks, money! It’s only fitting that “green” should be incorporated into your team name. Let us make things a little simpler by listing out our TOP 10 green team names. These will definitely make other teams “green with envy” (ba dum tssss).
The ladies of Rutger’s Phi Sigma Rho sorority used our Group Order Form to order these bright yellow t-shirts for fall recruitment. The girls received “a lot of positive attention for the design and color options” and were successful in attracting new members to the sisterhood!
Usual Suspects is a newly formed theater company in Illinois that puts on productions of The Rocky Horror Show across the community. While out and about publicizing their group and show, they wear their custom designed t-shirts to attract attention and stir up conversation. What a lively bunch!

To kick off our #15DaysofThankYou, we asked Dancing With the Stars pro, Lindsay Arnold, to help us show our appreciation for the Waller (Texas) High School dance and cheer program, a long-time customer under the direction of Krista Miller-Lutz. Lindsay surprised Krista’s senior Wranglerettes during their summer practice with a private dance class.
