In a few days, CustomInk is going to hold its 3rd Annual Chili Cookoff, which is always an exciting event for many amateur cooks and all hungry Inkers here in the office. There’s expected to be many chilis to try and great prizes to be won. There was even a trucker hat design contest for the official Chili Cookoff logo. And with over twenty entries, this beautiful winning design at right took the cake… Or I should say – chili.
Now, while prepping my chili-recipe, I was trying to think of a good name for my cookoff team and even the chili itself and remembered that there’s been some really funny names submitted by entrants in years past. Plus our customers who have entered their own cookoffs have made shirts with clever names for their chilis and cookoff teams. So after perusing through some customer orders, past cookoff entries, and brainstorming a few funny names with colleagues, we compiled a list of our favorites to share.
Check them out. Feel free to borrow one for your cookoff t-shirts or personalized aprons and look your best at your chili cookoff extravaganza – so that if you don’t win, you’ll still be stylin’.

Happy New Year! In the post-Holiday haze, many of us look back on the time spent eating, drinking, and being merry in December and resolve to be more fit and healthy in the new year. It may seem like a daunting proposition, but small changes can make all the difference! In honor of this season of resolutions, let’s look back to the summer of 2015 and our “Come Together, Get Active” initiative. This 8-week program tasked Inkers with simply wearing a Jawbone fitness tracker and challenging themselves to be more active, sleep longer, and eat more mindfully. This one simple change sparked huge results! Here are some inspiring numbers:
- 60% of CustomInk, Booster, and Pear team members participated
- 248,250,359 total steps were taken- that translates roughly to 118,384 miles!
- Inkers are sleeping 40% more than they were before the challenge began
- Everyone averaged 8,139 steps, or roughly four miles, a day!
And of course, Inkers were INKcredibly creative with their team names! Check out our favorites below for some inspiration for your fitness team!
