Don’t stop spreading the love just because February is over! Here at CustomInk, we’re making the commitment to #InkTheLove all year long, and we want YOU to join us!

When you see someone in your community or out in the world who inspires you with the love they are showing to others, share their story with your friends using the hashtag “#InkTheLove.” We’ll be doing the same, as well as reading all of your stories and sharing our favorites!

Get inspired to #InkTheLove by reading more about the awesome people we honored this past February and the incredible work they do to give back to their communities and beyond:

“B CO, 16th Engineers” and “Fighting for Dyslexia” are the winners of this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

Pictured here are soldiers from Bravo Company “Bloodhounds,” 16th Engineers, based out of Fort Bliss, Texas. After the order of 100+ t-shirts delivered, members of the group decided to take a break during a Monday Morning Maintenance routing to show them off.

These ladies formed a dyslexia support group, complete with custom t-shirts, to bring awareness to the condition and answer questions for those who have children struggling with reading, writing, and spelling. The organizer of the order LOVED the Group Order Form because she didn’t have to collect money for each order! The shirts were such a hit that she’s already opened her second Group Order Form.

“Health Information Professionals Week” and “2016 Rabies Clinic” are the winners of this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

March 14-18 was Health Information Professionals Week and the employees at Crowne Nursing Home of Montgomery, Alabama celebrated by awarding their staff with prizes including these t-shirts!

The students in the Mount Ida College Veterinary Technology Program hold a yearly Rabies Clinic to benefit the community. This year, the event saw over 70 animals for vaccines, nail trims, micro-chipping, and more. It was a fun and exciting day, and the students were easy to spot in their bright red t-shirts!

For over six years, we’ve been collecting customer stories in our Ink of the Week contest. Throughout the years, we’ve heard from some truly amazing customers about how their CustomInk orders helped to unite their community and take their event to the next level. To show you some of the communities we’ve touched, we’ve compiled a handful of stories that caught our eye this past month.

Custom_Ink_-_Miriam's_HootersMiriam’s Hooters

Miriam’s Hooters is a group of friends and family who participated in Santa Barbara’s “Barbara Ireland Walk & Run for Breast Cancer” earlier this month. Miriam was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and chose to undergo a double mastectomy, so her supporters decided to express their devotion and love with custom t-shirts. The order was such a hit amongst the group that they are already planning a Movember t-shirt order for the fall!

animal_shelter_2Trempealeau County Humane Society

This community-supported animal shelter in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin relies solely on volunteers and community support to keep their organization running. For the past three years, they have ordered t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats & more to outfit their volunteers and to sell at various fundraising events. For their most recent open house event, the group took advantage of complementary styles by ordering 11 different styles with their logo.

Dance for a Cure 2016 occurred just a couple weeks ago in Vancouver, Washington. To prepare for the event, this customer organized an order of custom tank tops and sold them as part of the dance fundraiser. All in all, she raised over $4,500 for Relay for Life, and the order was a huge hit with the participants. She’s already planning her next order!

“EKT takes the stage for Greek Week!” and “Feelin’ Saxy” are the winners of this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

The sisters of Epsilon Kappa Tau are no stranger to CustomInk and Ink of the Week. They order shirts for events throughout the year and won the contest last fall for a recruitment photo. This time they showcased their Greek Week design inspired by the musical, Chicago. They wore the shirts to activities throughout the week, including collecting and donating cans for a local food drive.

This saxophone section couldn’t help but feel “saxy” as they participated in Dublin, Ireland’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade! The school’s marching band goes every 4 years and the saxophone players proudly wore shirts that said “Feelin Saxy” under Irish kilts and tartans this year.
