Turkey trots, turkey dinners, turkey bowls, oh my! Whether you have an active or a more laid-back Thanksgiving approaching, we can all find something to be thankful for. See the ways in which some of our customers celebrate the holiday in our Ink of the Week photo contest.

 

Family Turkey Trot

The Coomes, Watts, and Wright families hosted their own Thanksgiving Turkey Trot down the George Washington Parkway in Alexandria, Virginia. Due to travel and schedules, the families were unable to sign up for an official race. That didn’t stop their motivation, though! The run was made complete with custom long sleeve t-shirts.

Kahili Turkey Bowl

Pictured is the Kahili family’s 15th annual Thanksgiving flag football game. Whether rain, shine, or mud, this family comes together every Thanksgiving holiday to play a friendly game of football in the backyard. Last year, the “kids” team easily defeated the parents team. Good luck to both teams this year!

5th Annual Fake Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving in October? Why not?! This family has a tough time getting everyone together on the actual Thanksgiving holiday, so they choose to celebrate in October. Better weather, cheaper airfares, and being able to quickly run to the grocery store for forgotten ingredients are just a few reasons why this family is a proponent of an early celebration.

Crowder Family Thanksgiving

For five years running, the Crowder family has celebrated Thanksgiving with custom “Crowder Bowl”  t-shirts. The family grows larger and larger each year, but they always remain united in their custom apparel. During the holiday, the family enjoys football, games, and endless laughs.

Final Thanksgiving in Family Home

Sonja and Bob, the matriarch and patriarch of the Riggs family, sold their family home last year before moving and retiring to North Carolina. To celebrate years of memories, everyone flew in for a final Thanksgiving in the home they grew up in. To commemorate the event, the family celebrated in custom family t-shirts.

Post-meal Workout

After their Thanksgiving meal, this family decided to go for a run/walk within Georgia’s Milk and Honey Farm. This made dessert extra worth it! Everyone staying on the farm for the holiday loved the artwork and quality of the shirts.

Smarty Party Rocking Our CustomInk Tshirts” and “Stopping SCID In Its Tracks” are the winners of this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

The Irvine Smarties are a First Lego League Robotics team based out of Irvine, CA. They’re busy preparing for an upcoming competition, but they made sure to pose for a picture in their new team shirts during their meeting last week! Best of luck at your competition, Smarties!

 

Emmett was born with SCID (Severe Combined Immune Deficiency) and received a bone marrow transplant at three weeks old. Team Emmett participated in the Walk For Primary Immune Deficiencies in honor of the one-year anniversary of Emmett’s transplant, and are happy to report that he is doing well and beating the odds against SCID! They raised over $1,300 for the Immune Deficiency Foundation in their efforts to help children like Emmett with Primary Immune Deficiencies. Awesome job, Team!

Rutgers Knocks Out Cancer” and “Celebrating 15 Years” are the winners of this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

For six years running, Rutgers School of Nursing has trekked into New York City to cheer on the brave men and women walking the 39.3 miles in support of breast cancer awareness. The nursing students proudly wore their “Rutger Knocks Out Cancer” shirts to the event, which they also sold to raise over $550 for the cause!

 

Team Sunset Faithful from Sunset Ministry in San Francisco posed in their custom long sleeve t-shirts at the finish line of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. This is the team’s 15th year raising funds and awareness for breast cancer. Two of the women pictured have been diagnosed and have survived; they want everyone to believe in the fight!

Scary Teacher Costume

The teachers at Port Matilda Elementary in Pennsylvania host a Halloween parade for their students each year around the town. All teachers participated this year with ‘Scary Teacher Costume’ t-shirts. The shirts were such a hit around the school that the group is already planning a new order for Dr. Seuss week in the spring!

M&M Friends

Who doesn’t love a colorful group of M&M’s? This group of friends turned to CustomInk to personalize their own bunch of custom, M&M spoof t-shirts. Adorned with colorful tutus and suspenders, the girls wore the costumes to Halloween day at Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School.

Second Annual Hallo-Wing

For two years in a row, the team behind the Wanderin’ Wings food truck in Raleigh, North Carolina, have ordered custom t-shirts for their annual Halloween party. They throw the party to thank their supporters and when the supporters saw these cool, unique shirts, they all wanted one. Shirts for the third annual party have already been ordered!

Minion Crazy

Employees at Shannon Orthodontics in Michigan turned their custom, company raglans into minion Halloween costumes. Not only did they wear the cozy shirts around the office on Halloween, but they love to wear the shirts to other office functions (minus the minion masks).

MSC Firefighters

These colleagues work in a Credit Union call center. They see themselves as first responders, always having to put out fires, so for Halloween they dressed up as firefighters. They had a mural made with face cut outs for photo taking opportunities throughout the day. The group had a blast and looked great while doing it!

25th Annual Halloween Campout

Halloween isn’t all candy and costumes. For 25 years, this family has gone camping every Halloween weekend. This year, a couple family members wanted to commemorate the 25th campout anniversary with custom shirts. The group was surprised the first night and everyone, ranging from 15 months to 80-years-old, loved them!

University of the Philippines, B.S. Statistics Class of 82” and “Tough Mudder- Gym Unicorns!” are the winners of this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

After graduating from the University of the Philippines 34 years ago, nine friends finally reunited in New York to spend a special weekend together. With maroon being the alma mater’s color, the group decided to order custom maroon t-shirts with a sigma on them, representing their statistics major. The shirts served as cherished souvenirs and were a hit with classmates that weren’t able to attend. They even inspired plans for a larger 35th graduation anniversary next year in Manila!

 

This Tough Mudder team is made up of different athletes from different gyms around New Jersey. With the help of CustomInk, new friends and old were able to stand out as a team during the mud-filled activities. The shirts held up through all of the mud and dirt, as seen here!
