Customer Stories

In honor of National Small Business Week, we are highlighting four awesome small business stories submitted to us by our customers! Our second featured small business is Virginia Foundation Solutions, based out of Virginia Beach.

Founded by a former U.S. Navy Nuclear Machinist’s Mate, Virginia Foundation Solutions (VFS) built a name and reputation for themselves in the Virginia Beach area by providing long-term solutions for home foundation problems that are common in the region. They are renowned and respected in the area for not only their work, but their integrity, respect, and honesty!

Virginia Foundation Solutions was recently recognized by national dealer Grip-Tite at a recent awards ceremony, as seen in the photo above. VFS took home the award for Eastern Dealer of The Year AND Most Improved Performance of the Year! They all attended the ceremony in their matching CustomInk gear.

Congratulations and thanks so much for sharing your story with us, VFS!

“Puerto Rico Mu Alpha Phi Gamma Chapter” and “NYC MS Walk 2016” are the winners of this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

The Mu Alpha Phi Gamma Chapter is the first sorority chapter to exist in Puerto Rico. The girls pictured here are dedicated to making social and cultural impacts in society. At a recent chapter reunion, they handed out their new and colorful, custom sweatshirts… which everyone absolutely loved!

Nycee’s S’myelin Crew participated in the NYC MS Walk in their superhero-themed custom tees. The team of 50 walked in support of Janyce, who is battling MS. The walk was a HUGE success and they received countless compliments on their awesome shirts.

For over six years, we’ve been collecting customer stories in our Ink of the Week contest. Throughout the years, we’ve heard from some truly amazing customers about how their CustomInk orders helped to unite their community and take their event to the next level. To show you some of the communities we’ve touched, we’ve compiled a handful of stories that caught our eye this past month.

trackteamInaugural Winter Track

This past winter was the inaugural track season for St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes middle schoolers. The group of dedicated 7th and 8th graders who participated took a chance by going out for a team with no indoor facilities. As the season came to a close, the team decided to order special, custom t-shirts to commemorate the season. “The t-shirt went from an idea to a wearable reality in less than a week!”

bubbaBubba’s 21st Birthday

Bubba and his family traveled to Las Vegas to celebrate the youngest in the family finally turning 21. All decked out in their custom t-shirts, and “totally ignoring the dress code,” the family went out to dinner at Gordon Ramsey Steak in the Paris Casino to kick off the celebrations. Numerous people came up to the group throughout the day to comment on the t-shirts and the family had an absolute blast!

goat_2Goat Shed Gathering

For seven years, this group of friends has been gathering at the “Goat Shed,” a Texas goat farm from the 1800’s that was renovated into a bunk house for 10. For the past three years (they won in 2014!), the group has been ordering shirts with us. Most recently, our Creative Services team brought a “Seven Dwarfs of the Goat Shed” idea to life and all members of the group had their individual personalities shine through with these custom t-shirts.

“Looking Good While Saving Little Dogs” and “Team Courage Fighting Against Breast Cancer!” are the winners of this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

The Dachshund Rescue of Houston hosted their annual Spring Fling fundraising/awareness event this past weekend. Over 100 people attended, all of whom narrowly missed the severe rain that flooded the Houston area that night. Pictured are a small number of volunteers (with pups, of course) who help to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Dachshunds in need. They proudly wear their CustomInk t-shirts as they continue their mission to save dogs!

Cassandra and her team, Team Courage, have been ordering custom shirts for Houston’s AVON 39 Walk for two years running, but have been participating in the event for five years now. Over the years, the team changes a bit but the spirit never ceases. Throughout the “physical, emotional, spiritual experience,” the team has their bright t-shirts to help them stand out!

“Looking Fly!” and “L337 BAR Does One Spark!” are the winners of this week’s Ink of the Week contest!

This customer has learned all about leadership and helping “Byrd house” spirit soar at her school in West Vancouver. In addition to chirping a few “Byrd” puns and feasting on gummy worms to help boost school morale, she recently turned to CustomInk to design, vote, and order custom long sleeve shirts for her classmates. Now that the shirts have landed in their nest, they are by far the freshest feathers in all the school!

These customers are in the process of opening a classic arcade and gaming bar, L337 BAR, in the Jacksonville area. When they participated in an entrepreneurial event the other weekend, they wanted to offer quality shirts to those who have contributed to their project. They uploaded their company logo to these t-shirts and had their order in no time!
