Mud Run T-Shirt DesignOver the past five years, the popularity of “mud runs” — cross country races with obstacles — has exploded. It’s estimated that more than one million people have participated in this new genre of adventure sport. The increasing popularity of the sport has led us to create special resources just for mud runners to make their own mud run uniform t-shirts, or “mud duds” (available at www.customink.com/mudrun).

“Mud runners across the country are training and getting ‘down and dirty’ with their friends and family. CustomInk t-shirts have the power to unite them into a team for the big day,” commented Marc Katz, CustomInk’s president and co-founder. “Completing one of these races is an achievement to be commemorated, and a mud-stained, custom t-shirt makes the perfect trophy!”

If you love getting down and dirty and pushing your body to the limit in mud runs (and chances are good you do, if you’re reading this), then you’re going to want a mud run team name that’s just as tough and lively as you are. Or, maybe you love good laugh and are looking for a funny or clever tough-mudder name.

We’ve seen some great team names that our customers have put on t-shirts and other good ones that we’ve found scattered around the Web. Here are the best of the best we’ve been able to find. We hope you use one to design your own t-shirt or make tough mudder jerseys.

This week, CustomInk is celebrating the delivery of t-shirts to our millionth customer. We couldn’t think of any better way to commemorate this amazing milestone than by honoring those who made it possible: You!

Please enjoy this video tribute as a token of our appreciation.

Additionally, each day this week, we will be featuring some of our more memorable Ink of the Week winners. We hope you enjoy as we stroll down memory lane and, again, we thank you for trusting us with making your events even more special.

Downright Doggone Good
November 2009: This team won the 3K Mutt Strutt Fundraiser to support the San Antonio Humane Society and raised over $2000 in donations for the shelter! They also got to take this great photo with former San Antonio Spurs great Sean Elliott.

The Price is Right!
April 2007: Twenty friends wore matching t-shirts to “The Price is Right” for a last shot at fabulous prizes before Bob Barker’s retirement. Timothy (front, third from right) ended up coming on down!

Ready, Set, Go … Kindergarten!
October 2007: Child Care Resources Inc. and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools launched the “Ready, Set, Go!” video series and community awareness campaign to help families prepare young children for kindergarten. The school district celebrated Kindergarten Day at its elementary schools on September 5, 2008. The superintendent and more than 11,000 students sported their green “Ready, Set, Go!” t-shirts to let everyone know they were ready to go to kindergarten!

Munsterman Family Bocce Tournament
We start off with a June 2004 photo of a Minnesota family who knows how to have fun. The Munstermans get together every year for 3 days of bocce. 2004 marked their 10th anniversary and the rainbow of colors captures the vibrancy of multiple generations getting together to celebrate life and have a good old time. They have a shirt for every celebration to help them remember each 3-day event.
