Stories to Make You Smile (Red, White & Blue Edition)

In the spirit of July 4th, and for all things red, white, and blue, we’re highlighting a handful of customers who shared their patriotic stories in our in our Ink of the Week contest.

 

paradeLake Bluff Parade

CROYA (Committee Representing Our Young Adults) was honored at last year’s Lake Bluff 4th of July Parade in Illinois. The group, who celebrated 35 years of serving high school and middle school students in their community, won 1st place in the youth division of the parade and the “t-shirts put everyone over the top!” The shirts served as a great commemoration for the event.

hoochie_brothersThe Hoochie Brothers

The Hoochie Brothers are known as master pyros in Norfolk, Nebraska. For years, they’ve been running an annual fireworks show on an island near their hometown. Last year, they sadly lost one of their founding members. To honor him, they had shirts printed with his picture, “in lieu of Uncle Sam.” The pyros’ shirts are treasured and worn all year long. Just last week, they ordered new shirts for this year’s celebrations!

The Melby family wanted something to do outside while spending their Fourth of July on Trout Lake in Wisconsin, so what did they do? They created the inaugural Trout Lake Triathlon! The race consisted of a swim across the lake (pictured in the back), followed by a short bike and run. With our help, a family tradition was born last summer. They’ve already ordered their 2nd annual race shirts for this weekend!
