Sandy Relief: Help Restore the Jersey Shore

A Letter from Marc Katz, CustomInk Co-founder & President

Dear Customers, Inkers, and Friends –three hearts

With Thanksgiving coming up, we at CustomInk are mindful of the many people still reeling from Hurricane Sandy. We’ve donated some shirts and sweats to help clothe people in the immediate aftermath, but we wanted to do more – and need your help.

While our hearts go out to all those harmed by the storm, our efforts are aimed at supporting the people of New Jersey, which was hit so hard, as they recover and rebuild. So we’ve created a limited-edition sandy relief t-shirt you can buy and wear to show your solidarity, and 100% of the profits (at least $10 per shirt) will go to AmeriCares – which has relief teams on the ground in affected areas, and is working to stock shelters and aid distribution centers. In addition, we’ll be donating shirts to AmeriCares relief workers to give them a morale boost and a sense of unity as they undertake their difficult work.Sandy Relief T-Shirt - Support NJ Shore

I have a personal connection to the Jersey shore. My dad grew up with a big extended family in Margate, Marc Katz Photojust a few miles south of Atlantic City, and it still feels like “homebase” for us. It’s also the exact location where Sandy made landfall. For me, the New Jersey shoreline is a place of deep family roots, natural beauty, caring neighbors, and iconic sub shops —basically everything good in life! I know I feel like a calmer, more grateful, and just overall better person when I’m there. I look forward to lots of people having that feeling for years to come and hope this effort will be at least a small help to these communities as they rally together to get back on their feet!

Thank you for supporting this Three Hearts Initiative (the charitable arm of CustomInk), and for all you do that empowers us to give back.

Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving,

Marc
